Accessi­bility

We aim for the website at bidbetter.ai to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We test each release with automated checks (axe-core and Lighthouse) and by hand with a keyboard, screen-reader semantics, 200% zoom and a 320-pixel-wide screen.

• Every page has a "Skip to content" link, labelled regions (header, navigation, main, footer) and headings in order.
• Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline. The plan picker (the gear shifter) is a radio group: use the arrow keys, Home and End to change plans.
• Text and controls meet AA colour contrast, including the small grey labels and the orange on graphite.
• Form fields have labels, and errors are announced and written in plain words.
• While a car is being valued, progress and the result are announced to screen readers, and the "See full report" button appears next to the result.
• Gauges and animations are decorative and come with the same numbers as text. If your device is set to reduce motion, they stop moving.
• Pages reflow at 200% zoom and on small screens without sideways scrolling (wide tables scroll on their own and can be focused).
• Images have text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.

• Listing photos and links come from auction sites. We describe each photo, but we can't change those sites.
• Checkout and billing run on Stripe's pages, and the Chrome extension installs from the Chrome Web Store. Those pages are run by their owners.
• Dragging the gear knob is optional: every plan can also be picked with a click, a tap or the keyboard.
